What stays on your Mac
Mail, messages, calendar, contacts, notes, reminders, browser history, and folder contents. Encrypted at rest (AES-GCM); key in your macOS Keychain.
What we collect
Email address, hashed password, Stripe customer ID, and a server-side audit log limited to request counts and status codes. Submitted feedback is stored alongside a pseudonymized version of the signal you were responding to. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
What we send to Anthropic
Synthesis prompts are pseudonymized on your Mac before transmission. Personal identifiers — including names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, organizations, dollar amounts, social-security numbers, and payment-card numbers — are replaced with placeholder tokens prior to leaving your device. Anthropic's standard API terms apply: prompts may be retained for up to 30 days, and Anthropic does not train on API content.
Other processors
Stripe (payments), Supabase (auth + DB), Cloudflare (Worker + DMG hosting), Resend (email), Google (only when you connect Gmail/Calendar).
What we don't collect
No usage telemetry. No analytics. No cookies (beyond functional ones at checkout). No third-party trackers. The Mac app reports nothing about how you use it.
Retention + deletion
Local audit log: retained on your Mac for the lifetime of the installation. The Settings → Wipe Everything action removes all local data, including the audit log. To delete your account or request a data export, email hi@getlstn.com.
Security
TLS 1.2+ in transit. AES-GCM at rest on your Mac. Passwords hashed by Supabase.
